The picture above is me and my sister Nikki, at the Lecrae concert.
My apologies, I have neglected updating this for quite some time. Over 6 months, it seems. I spent the winter in Florida. Other than seeing New Song, Building 429 and Plumb in concert in Lakeland on December 20th of last year, I really didn’t do anything noteworthy, until March.
On Wednesday, March 2nd, my sister Nikki flew down, and on Saturday, March 5th, her and I went to see Grammy award winning hip hop artist LeCrae at the Strawberry Festival, in Plant City. A week later, my sister Laurie and her husband Steve flew down. I had actually won 4 tickets to see Casting Crowns in concert, at the Strawberry Festival, in Plant City. So on Thursday, March 10th, my parents, Nikki and I went to that show. We had great seats! On Monday, March 14th, all of us, including my parents, Nikki, Laurie and Steve, Aunt Gloria and Drew, who were over visiting from West Palm Beach, and I went to a Detroit Tigers spring training game at Joker Merchant Stadium in Lakeland. They played the Mets. I don’t remember the score, but I know that it was a convincing win by Detroit that included a couple home runs.
While in Florida, I finished writing and formatting my book, From Tragedy to Triumph. I am currently tweaking it here and there. I plan on self-publishing through CreateSpace, amazon.com’s self-publishing and distribution arm. So, From Tragedy to Triumph will be available on amazon. I will also have copies available. I’m thinking late June/early July for a release date.
I am slated to speak to the health classes, in the Performing Arts Center (PAC), at Port Huron Northern (PHN) Thursday, May 5th.
