This is my first current update of 2014, so I’m going to try and summarize 6 months here.
I escaped the cold Michigan winter by going down to Florida from January 4th – April 25th. I had developed a case of bursitis in my left shoulder before we left, but I had decided to put off physical therapy until I was down there.
While in Florida I went to a place called Rehab Point for over a month, for physical therapy on my shoulder. My therapists were Robert Dragon, a middle age Polish immigrant with a heavy accent, and Rob Moore, a 26 year old young man who I preferred working with. By the end of my time at Rehab Point, I was astonished at how much better my shoulder was feeling.
I didn’t do a whole lot down there this winter, except work out and hang by, or in the pool as much as possible. However, the Friday before we left on Monday, I managed to hit a concert. I saw Brandon Heath and Mandisa with special guest Lindsey McCaul.
I made it home to catch Michael W. Smith (pictured above) in concert at Colonial Woods on May 2nd. And as usual, I got the VIP treatment as my friend Dave ushered me up to the front row. So needless to say, I had an awesome time.
On May 26th, one of my best friends, Kevin Collins was killed while biking on West Water. On May 27th, my cousin Dave launched my newly designed website, which you are currently looking at. Dave constructed this site for me under his freelance business DigitalMixture. If you have any web design needs, I encourage you to do business with him. A site as elaborate as this one would range between $1,500-2000. I changed over from HTML, which was difficult for me to use, to Word Press, which is far easier.
The week of June 8-14, I went to Indian Trails Camp in Allendale, MI. This has become a yearly thing for me. I love camp, and always meet great people there with whom I share my testimony. At the end of camp, I received an award for being “Most Influential.”
I can be found working out at Anytime Fitness of Marysville Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Still pressing on and fighting the good fight!
Hanging strong, ~Ryan!
